Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits like, oranges, grapefruit, tangerines, lemons, and limes contain high concentrations of Vitamin C (this is also called ascorbic acid). This Vitamin C has a fat burning quality.

Vitamin C reduces the effectiveness of fat. It reduces its content and can liquefy or dilute fat. By diluting the fat, it makes it less effective, and easier to flush out of your system. Vitamin C also works on cholesterol deposits. Vitamin C can help burn out the cholesterol, hence, making it difficult for cholesterol deposits to form in blood vessels cholesterol levels.


Soybeans

Soybeans contain lecithin, this chemical will shield your cells from accumulating fat. This chemical prevents, like a shield, fat from forming on your cells. It will also break down fatty deposits in your body.

Eat soybeans at least 3 times a week and you’ll be boosting your bodies ability to get rid of fat. You can find soybeans in most health food stores.


Apples, Berries, Fresh Fruit

Apples contain a chemical call pectin. This chemical is found in most berries, and fresh fruit. The pectin is in the cell walls of most fruits, especially apples.

Pectin limits the amount of fat your cells can absorb. This will put a natural limitation on the amount of fat your cells can absorb. Pectin, once in your system, has a water binding property, it absorbs watery substances, and these watery substances in turn bombards the cells and makes it release fat deposits.
Add applesauce (it’s loaded with pectin), apples, fresh fruit and berries, to your diet and let the power of pectin pulverize the fat that accumulates on your cells. An apple a day can help keep the fat away.

Garlic Oil

Garlic oil or the juice of garlic has a significant protective quality to cells which help to reduce fatty deposits. When taken, it brings down the levels of fat. Garlic, garlic oil, or anything with garlic, also has an antibiotic property to it and can be used to cure many ailments. Please look at a home remedies page I wrote and you’ll see all the uses garlic has to offer, but in brief, it can be used as an antibiotic, it also destroys bacterial infections, and has the power to reduce fat in your cells dramatically.

Drink plenty of water:

I recommend building up to drinking on half (1/2) of your weight in ounces.
Water is the main mineral your  body craves; without it there is nothing to get rid of the toxin build up.  This build up caused your skin cells not to operate or regenerate properly.  A lack of water can cause4 your skin to have a dry unhealthy look. So drink plenty of water.

Get quality rest:

With our over worked society, it is easy and sometimes expected that sleep or proper rest suffers.  The effects this has on the skin can be devastating.
While you are asleep, your body attempts to repair any damage of the day. It has been shown that in the second stage of sleep, Hormone levels peak and cell repair takes please. If you are not getting enough sleep, or you go to bed late; you may not enter into this positive phase of sleep long enough or at all. You will miss out on the benefits of the cell repairing process, So the skin on your face, particularly the sensitive skin around the eyes will suffer and begin to get the tired aged look we try so very hard to avoid.

Last, Exercise:

You really can exercise your face!  Your face and neck has many, many muscles. the same rules apply for these muscles as does in the rest of your body. If you want a better body composition, exercise is an important part of the equation, The same is true with your face. Here are two exercises one for the skin around and under the eye, and the other for the weak muscles under the chin.

Under the eye’s:

You may want to do this exercise right after you get out of the shower so your skin is lubricated well.
Place your fingers on both sides of your head around the spot where your temples are located.  Gently press in and  back towards the back of your head. This motion places resistance on the muscles we are trying to target. Now alternate blinking each eye.(When you blink try not to squint your eye, so you get the skin bunched up on the sides) blink the left eye, then the right making one repetition. Complete 3 sets of 20-25reps.

Next for the weak muscles under your chin:
.
Tilt your head back so your face is towards the sky.  Press your tongue to the roof of your mouth. You will feel the muscles under your chin engage. Hold the tongue in place and lower your Chin to your chest. Once at your chest return your head to the beginning position of backward tilt.  Complete 3 sets of   20-25 repetitions.

How to Fight and or prevent Cellulite.

First lets talk about what Cellulite is. Cellulite is when fat is stored unevenly under the skin. It is important to note that cellulite is not an obesity issue, rather it is more a hormonal issue. Cellulite usually occur in woman around the time of hormonal changes, i.e. puberty, menopause, pregnancy, and while woman are on birth control.

To help fight cellulite you want to use a three (3) pronged attack. They are cardiovascular exercises, Resistance training, and an sensible eating plan.
.
As for cardiovascular exercises, you want to do lower intensity, longer duration exercise, I would complete about and hour of them. Some great exercises are: Swimming, jogging, and brisk walking.  These exercises are effective because they will help increase blood flow to the effected region and help the body burn more fat for energy instead of storing it.
.
The next weapon in your arsenal is resistance exercise.
Do Full body-multiple joint exercises i.e. squats with overhead dumbbell press, or reverse lundge with lateral arm raise.  When doing these exercises it is important to remember to bend your knees in a 90 degree angle before standing back up in the start position.(if you are unable to bend to 90 degrees, bend as far as you can without pain).
Doing these very effective exercises will help your war against cellulite, by aiding the body in metabolizing the unwanted fat which prevents the build up of cellulite.

Your last and maybe one the most effective weapons is eating.
Eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, will aid in the reduction of fat intake. You will also want to stay away from as many processed foods as possible, i.e. cookies, and chips which tend to have excess fat, and sugar.

Know this if you are suffering with cellulite it will not leave over night. Understand it is a process. However if you apply these weapons to aid you in your war against cellulite,  and go through the process, you will love the results when you come out on the other side.

When you think about the muscle in which you are working, you will more effective of your workout.  You will perform with better form, and increase the blood flood to that part of the body.

Do Cardio. Intervals:
.
When you are doing cardio switch up intensities. For example instead of walking for 30-45mins. Try waling or jogging for 3mins, the Run for 30seconds,1min. the go back to your walking or jogging. Repeat this series, until you have completed 30-45mins.
.
Remember Flexibility:
.
By improving flexibility,  you will increase the ability to move your muscles through a more full range of motion causing increased physical performance, and decrease chance of injury.
Increased flexibility will also improve your chance to decrease muscle soreness after workouts.  Proper stretching consist of holding a stretch for 20-30 seconds.  Also stretch to the point of tension not to pain.

It is a great idea to Keep a food guide journal and a exercise journal.
By keeping a record of what you eat and your exercise routine, you will be able to determine what works for your body type. You will also lie down a path of success. You can follow in order to set and reach future goals.

Substitute foods instead of eliminating foods:
.
If you can’t live without those potato chips, cutting them out totally all at once will not work for you. Instead, try a lower fat or baked chip.  There are healthier great tasting alternatives out there.  Find them
.
Take every opportunity to  burn extra calories:
.
There is new evidence that shows if you have sexual relations with your significant other vigorously for at least 25 non-stop minutes, you could burn between 250-500 extra calories. That is a great way to both burn extra calories and work on your relationship at the same time.
